Project Summary

Dubai represents an avant-garde vision of men who understand the stake of its strategic position and the position that it can play in the Middle East, in Asia and in the world.

This vision has changed in twenty years the small trading port into the metropolis which became the emblem of development and growth.

This vision has taken back Men from many countries to build a cosmopolitan international city. These Men have brought their dreams, their know-how and their dreams for the construction of the City. The approach for the construction of this emblem subject will be based on two acts:

ACT 1: THE VISION: is represented by the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, which summarizes the values, enthusiasm and futuristic vision and which predicted what represent the UAE and Dubai yesterday today and tomorrow. This national anthem will be the basis of our approach.

ACT 2: THE GATHERING OF MEN: a sample of the population of Dubai have taken cars on Sheikh Zayed Road, their movement during the night will leave a line of light captured by a camera. These men of all nationalities, all colors, all religions and all social status are finally materialized by similar lines of light that dissolve all differences between people. They will take the ramp that juxtaposes the site, they go under Sheikh Zayed Road and access to the site.

Their arrival at the site is reflected by a mixing and a climb to the sky.

ACT 3: All these men are beginning to organize themselves to give a coherent structure from anarchic lines from all directions. From these disparate and anarchic lines is born a trame of light.

This trame of light interacts with the vision. It turns on itself in a helicoidally movement for more coherence and rigidity by an action of “path deform“.

This application is first manually modeled, then it takes shape in 3D software by the act of “path deform”.

The envelope made by the VISION covers the helicoidally movement of the trame of light according to the same principle of “path deform”. Thus the VISION and the TRAME OF LIGHT are joining.

This VISION envelops the trame of light in a movement of protection, regulation and ascent toward the sky.
