Project Summary

The project of the multidisciplinary sports hall in Menzel Bouzelfa aims to be a new architectural landmark that enlivens the urban landscape of the city.

With its architecture and overall morphology, the multidisciplinary sports hall presents itself as a compact building; a massive volume that asserts itself with inclinations animating both the envelope and the roof volume. Accessible via a platform, resembling an esplanade, it marks another event that defines the space in its urban and functional aspect: a place for social gatherings and leisure, being an essential component of a sports-oriented project.

A touch of orange color, reminiscent of the identity of the well-known and famous citrus production of Menzel Bouzelfa, enhances the aesthetic aspect of the building, as well as its landscape integration, through the use of color and especially the utilization of concrete blocks.

The overall functional scheme is defined by two levels: the ground level, providing access for players and technical staff, and the second level at +1.80m, providing access for the public. This separation of circuits was chosen for better organization and circulation.

The project’s structure is characterized by the use of metal trusses that conform to the shape of the main volume: an imposing and visible structure inside the hall, which also houses the technical lighting.

The stands in the first phase, initially reserved, can be used as a gymnasium or individual sports hall. We have chosen to retain the existing tennis courts, which will be accessible through a ramp attached to the main platform.
This project as a whole will help instill a sense of belonging to national institutions among the youth of Menzel Bouzelfa.
