Project Summary

The renovation and extension of the former Abou Nawas Hotel in Hammamet will address several structural issues. The old hotel was structured in a way that almost turned its back to the sea. Our idea is to eliminate part of the rear wing to reconcile with the sea. An infinity pool will enhance the perspective towards the water.

A facade cladding will allow us to extend the rooms, bringing them up to standard and creating a play of volumes on the facade to mitigate its former flat effect. A large dome will shelter the reception area and will protrude in a suspended manner over the entrance, defying gravity.

This dome will house an antique world map inside, suggesting an unusual vision of our planet.
